Outlook Image Display Problems

Outlook - images in email sent or received often come through blank with the box in the upper left hand corner with a red X.  Right clicking on the box does not give me any option to display the image.  However, when I respond to the email received or forward the email I sent, the image appears.

Delete the files in Outlook cache.  With Otulook close search OLKxx folder and delete its content.

OLKxx folder in not easy to find. Here is how to navigate to it

Here are other reasons why Red X shows instead of pictures

Check the email format.
Image could be with the email or reference on a link
If using Outlook 2003, images may be blocked.
