Outlook preference or feature???

I lost a feature for sorting the task pad in calendar view using Outlook.  Do you know how to get it back?

I use the calendar display to manage my tasks.  The task pad shows up on the right.  Above the task pad there are colanders laid out for two months.  In the task pad the tasks showing are filtered by those tasks that are active on the present day.  I used to be able to click an individual day at any point in the future and the task pad would display the tasks that would be active on that day.  It currently does not do that, do you know how to turn this feature back on.

If you go to View --> Current View  and chose day/Week/Month does it solve it?
After that if you still don't see it you can go View --> Current View  -->  Customize Current View and press on Reset Current View
