How do I cause the workstations outlook to store the emails on the server under w2k3?

How do I cause the workstations outlook to store the emails on the server under w2k3?  I  am a fairly novice administrator.  I think i can redirect the users in this w2k3 active directory system to cause their outlook email to store all their emails on the system server machine.  I want all the users to put their emails on a server system mirrored drive, as opposed to their own workstation system disks.  But, I need instructions.  Can one of you experts help me out?
Thanks,
Rick

The easiest approach.. Purchase Exchange and configure it.  (If you are new to Server 2003 and IT administration, this method will require money and time to learn the Mail Software)

THe "free" route -
You will need to Change the "data file" directory for each User on each machine that the user logs into to point to Share on teh server.   That share will have a Folder for each user in it.  THose folder's really need to be locked down so that only the User and an Administraor can access their personal file. Then you need to copy the Outlook Data files from their current location to their new location on the server.

A few words of advice, this method is not recommended nor really supported.  You will get horrible performance from your email because of it  I would not recommend doing that route.

If you do, you will want to read up on it.

I agree with Brugh.  The best solution in this case is to purchase Exchange and setup the client's email to be saved into a Exchange mailbox.  You don't want to save your PST files to the server and open them across the network.  Microsoft does not support this:
