I found and ran MS Component Checker, it identified MDAC 2.8 SP1, I downloaded the latest MDAC installer file but it gave the following error: MDAC 2.8 RTM is incompatible with this version of Windows. All of its features are currently part of Windows. How do I 'install MDAC again'?

I guess you will have to first remove Windows SP2 on that machine.

I am installing a VB6SP6 app on WinXP Pro connected to SQL Server Express 2005. I installed on (5) machines without a problem. On the next pc, I get the error: Run-time error 3706 Provider cannot be found. I installed and tested the SQL Native Client the same on all machines and received 'Test Completed Successfully' so am thinking the database connection is working but not the ADO database connection. Have searched Google &amp;&nbsp;EE for this error message but mostly get dead-end links. I need help fixing this error.
