Unable to access intranet from local machine. SBS 2003

Running Win SBS 2003. From my local machine, I am unable to access the intranet. Looking at the browser status at the bottom, it shows that it is trying to connect to the external IP address. What could be the cause of this?

Hello Powerhousecomputing,

What url are you trying?
try this one:
https://companyweb:444/default.aspx
http://companyweb/default.aspx
Did you check IIS if everything is running?
Are you using a proxy?
What errors are you getting, what is the external ip??

Regards,

Your DNS may not be setup correctly. The Primary DNS of your local machine should be the internal IP address of the server.
