Backup Exec Removal

Hello - I would like to completely remove my exchange server from my Symantec backup exec 10d and re-install from scratch- I have been receiving the below error that began for no apparent reason- http://www.experts-exchange.com/Storage/Backup_Restore/Backup_Exec/Q_22680745.html

I would like to know how to remove the backup exec and start from scratch only for my exchange server....unless there is a fix for the above error that I haven't tried yet. Thanks

The BE account that is being used for backing up exchange mailboxes should have an active unique mailbox that should not be hidden in the GAL.This is a MAPI requirement for brick-level BU as BE use the MAPI for mailbox backups and esebcli2.dll for IS backups.
As for removing BE from yr server you need to do it from Add and Remove programs Console.
you will need to uninstall Veritas Updates also for complete removal and restart the server/.
failing to do so ,you will not be able to install 10D or 11 successfully.
if the removal from the ADD and Remove programs fails ,you will need to edit the registry to remove the software
the registry changes are not available for public viewing
Hi Lazik,

If you have Backup Exec installed on the Exchange Server, follow the post above.

If you have the Remote Agent installed on your Exchange Server, go to Add Remove Programs and uninstall Remote Agent for Windows Servers.
