Backup server TCP reconnection timeout

I am trying to backup files from a VMware ESX 3.0.1 Virtual Machine to a physical Windows 2003 Standard Brightstor ARCserve 11.5 SP3 server.

The 11.5 SP3 Client Agent is installed in the Virtual Machine.

I am getting "Backup server TCP reconnection timeout. Network Error=0x9" in the nightly job.

I have tried setting the backup priority on the Client Agent to low and high.
Anyone have any ideas?
