Web Forwarding from easily.co.uk to googlepages

Hi All,

I have just purchased http://www.chandler-centre.co.uk from http://easily.co.uk for a charity. I have also created a Google page which I now want to chandler-centre.co.uk domain to be redirected to (with URL masking).

The problem is this, when I redirect to the Google page (http://june.c.martin.googlepages.com/chandlercentre) easily.co.uk requires all forwarding urls to end in a slash or to point at specific files. However http://june.c.martin.googlepages.com/chandlercentre/ comes back with a 404 Error page.

Does anyone know how to either get around this, or the specific file's url which represents my Google page?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Andy

Hi!

There's a much better way to do this. URL masking is not very good.

If you log in to your Google account, and go to Web Pages and settings, there should be a feature where you can change the URL. To use www.chandler-centre.co.uk, type in this address, and then follow the instructions to create a CNAME record at your domain registrar or wherever you manage your DNS records.

Let me know if you need more infos...

If the "Change URL" feature isn't available in your Google account, you might need to register for a free Google Apps account first...
