Hi this is a query for a Windows 2003 Server environment with XP clients.
Parent Domain - 2 Domain Controllers. Both Controllers serving DNS
Child Domain - 2 Domain Controllers. DNS is pointing to the Parent Domain Controllers for both primary and secondary
Clients - DNS is pointing to the parent Domain Controllers for both primary and secondary
Would this cause an issue or should DNS be setup on the child domain DC's and replicated to the Parent Domain with all clients pointing to the child domain DC's? If the current set up is an issue could you explain why?
This process allows computer passwords to be managed and secured without using LAPS. This is an improvement on an existing process, enhanced to store password encrypted, instead of clear-text files within SQL
