PicasaWebAlbum - "SendToPicasa" on context menu? Possible?

With Flickr uploader installed, you can rightclick any image in Windows Explorer and see the option "Send To Flickr".

I'm looking for the same feature, but with Picasa2 and "Picasa Web Album".
I'm surprised it's missing.

I know I can upload to "Picasa Web Album" from Picasa irself, but I want to upload from WindowsExplorer too. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks a thousand,

-Jon

Hi Jon,

I don't know of a context menu method, but you can upload via IE:

Also, the first time you use the upload plugin you'll need to accept the active x plugin when prompted. If you have problems, see: http://picasa.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48363

Jon do you have an  Gmail account?

You can also use Picasa Web Albums without installing Picasa using a basic uploader or a more fancy ActiveX control that allows you to upload more pictures at once (Internet Explorer).
To do that, visit Picasa Web and click "New Album" or select the album you want to upload photos. Click "Upload Photos" on the left side of the page.
By default, the URL of your public web album is based on your Gmail username, but you can change that in your settings.

you can also use Flickr  again and have picasa as well and upload you photoes from picasa to Flickr
You can use this tool along with the Flickr windows explorer uploader. web live :: Upload Pictures From Picasa To Flickr

Thanks. I was looking for a way to add "Upload to Picasa" to the right-click context menu of a file (in Windows Explorer), but at least (thanks to you two) I can upload via IE without having to start Picasa.

Glad I could  assist you. Looks like they are aware that this feature is missing and may probably add it in future.
Thank you
