How to read Offline Files in CSC directory

I have 1GB of CSC files that I need to convert back into their original format.  I can open the files one by one, making guesses as to what the appropriate program is to use e.g. word/excel/powerpoint.

Is it possible to convert all of these files back to their original state in one go?  I.e. change the Word documents to filename extension .Doc  ,  Excel to .xls  etc.

Windows must change the files back to their original filenames when the offline files are used so there must be a little app that can do the same?  Or as another approach is a program that can look at the file headers to determine the file type?

Once you get the csccmd.exe

try the following command line switches on the machine you need to extract from. Create the exfiles directory as well.........

csccmd.exe /extract /target:c:\extracts /recurse

You should be able to watch the extracts folder populate....

I've got version 1.0 of CSCCMD from the Windows 2003 Resource Kit and it says /Extract is an unrecognised option.

Do I need version 1.1 to use that parameter?

Ver 1.1 seems hard to get hold of, trying Microsoft tech support now.  Anyone know where I can get it from other than MS?

Microsoft CSS UK can't seem to find it!  Such a handy little app yet so hard to get hold of!  Could anyone email it to me?  support@NOSPAMprodriveit.co.uk  (removing letters in CAPS)
