How to embed a small calendar on MediaWiki's main page

I want to embed a small calendar on my mediawiki on the main page. How do I do that?

My boss already has something like this on twiki. How do I do the same thing in mediawiki. Why can't I just copy and paste it? I read the instructions but I'm not technical enough to even know what's it's talking about:

How do I get this table to show up on mediawiki? Just on the mainpage...
