The computer at the retail outlet is accessed by many people. I would like to create a folder under Lotus Notes and have a password attached to it. Can I do that and how ?

Thanks

Ypu can use WIndows EFS ( Encrypted file system , see the windows help ) if you are talking about a folder in WIndows.  If you are talking about a folder inside of a users mail box, then there is no practical way to do this. Make sure you backup the EFS key and password !

I hope this helps !

I wanted to password protect a folder in Lotus Notes
You can not do it.

THe other option is tO get a seperate account and ID and TO swiTch TO iT TO access a diffeRENT account.

I hope this helps !
A folder within the mail file?  Or a Windows disk folder containing a bunch of Notes databases?

Either way, I would not encrypt the folder.  Instead, make sure each user has a separate, pass-word protected Lotus Notes .ID file.  You cna then encrupt each database so that only a specific user can access it.  Make sure not encruypt .NTF files, mor names.nsf, nor bookmark.nsf, nor log.nsf
