Stuck messages in outlook outbox

I'm having trouble with stuck messages in my outlook outbox. When I try to delete them I get the following error message: " The messaging interface has returned an unknown error - if the problem persists restart outlook" - which I have tried to no avail.
I can open the messages and hit resend. One of the messages is being sent repeatedly but the send/receive status always end in an error before it reaches 100%.
I can't drag them to another folder either.
The original group of four messages included attachments (.3 to 3MB) and my wireless popped offline during the original send - when only 2 out of four ended up sent.

    Greetings LApedaile !

Create a new PST file.  Make it the default.

Then drag all the emails and contacts addresses to the new PST file, except for those in the Outbox.

    Best wishes, war1

    Hi war1,

Thanks very much for this suggestion. I've just finally solved the problem. Appears that I let my pst file get too large. Ran the archiving routine and problem solved.
