How to create a link to old X400 address for users

We recently changed our mail server from Exchange 2000 on SBS 2000 to Exchange 2003. STD.
Our domain was on SBS was x.net and we were able to pop the mail using GFI Mail Essentials using xyz.com.
In our new W2K3 2003, we using the domain address xyz.com inplace of x.net. We are using GFI Mail Essentials Ver 12 to download POP emails.

All mailbox have been transferred but the issue has been the X400 address between the old and the new and is creating problems with users repling to the already recvd mail. Is there any method to add the old X400 mail address into the new Exchange.

The error message is as follows
/O=x/ou=first administrative group/cn=Recipients/cn=username it is sometime full cap or small letters
Tried LegacyFQDN but it is creating connectivity issues for the users

How can I resolve this issue?  And reduce the pressures put on the IT Support Team
