Google Maps Javascript, not working in FireFox but ok with IE

I'm new to Google Maps and Javascript but have managed to find my way so far. Went to show a mate who uses FireFox and it doesn't show properly

    I see the same thing in IE and FF...

    What exactly is the problem?

    hijust noticed i had the height as 100% which stopped it showing in FF, is there any way to set the map height to 100% and work in FF ?

    a: delete everything that is above <html> tag (DOCTITYPE etc.)
    b: add
    html, body {height:100%;}
    to your stylesheet
