CRM - Display Resolved Date on Case Views

In CRM when resolve a case, my client would like to see the date the Case was resolved displayed in My Resolved Case view and Resolved Case views.  As resolved date is not a Case attribute I know that I could add an attribute of Resolved Date against the Case entity, but I would still need to populate the Resolved Date with the actual date on which the case was resolved.  Can I write a On Change form script for this and if so what is the script?  I am not a programmer so unsure how to do this.

if a case is resolved, it cannot be modified. you could just use the last modified date.
