If a user tells you they can't logon, what would you try.

    Make sure they are using the correct username/password (check CAPS LOCK)
    Check to see if the user account is expired/disabled/locked out or has other restrictions.

    Try logon as the user yourself, if it works but it still doesn't work for them after you've checked everything kcts posted above than remove their computer from the domain if it exists and readd them to the domain. (assuming of course they're in a domain)
