Dreamweaver changes database table name to lower case

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 on a PC.

Whenever I use Dreamweaver to create a recordset from a mysql database, DW is changing the table name to all lower case. For example it references the table 'plugContacts' as 'plugcontacts'. I then have to go and edit it back manually in the code view, or I get an error when the page is executed.

It's just a bit of a bother! Can anyone recommend a fix to stop this action? I can't really change the database.

(BTW- it doesn't make changes to the case in the field references)

    Hi nigelhayler,

I use DW8 at work and I do not have the same issue.  In your site definition, is "Case Sensitive Link Checking" checked?

Also, are you patched to 8.02?

    Hi Jason1178
Thanks, I tried your suggestion, but I've just realised something.

To investigate I have just installed an old copy of mySQLFront, and connected to the database using that. I can now see that the problem is actually in the copy of the database I have made locally, and not DW's fault at all. The local copy has somehow lost all its upper case chars in the table names (not in fields though- strangely), so DW is just using what it sees. Why didn't I think of that earler?

Many thanks for your suggestion though. Sorry about that!
