I get the following error when i do an apt-get update for Debian. The -f switch does not solve the problem.
Any clues?

You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
python: Depends: python2.3 (>= 2.3.4-18) but it is not installable
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
