dns registration of client comptuer

I have Server 2003 with integrated dns.   I have a machine that is part of my domain and listed in my active directory.  Most machines I ping by name respond with thier ip address.  I have one that when I ping by name does not respond.  when I ping by ip it is there.  that tells me it is not in dns.    Is there a way to register it so it will show up in my local server dns?

In the properties of the network connection
Go to TCP/IP properties > Advanced
Click on the DNS tab
Verify that 'Register this connection's addresses in DNS' is checked

You can force the registration by running this command:

ipconfig /registerdns

Does the PC have your 2003 DNS server listed as its primary DNS server?

Yes on DNS as it is DHCP so it is getting the same DHCP scope the rest of them are and the others are registered.

question was never answered correctly so I suggest we invalidate question as opposed to say this answer is correct for this questoin.  I am sure the above answer applies to other situations just not this one.
