All in one cable modem and wireless routers

Is there a particular reason why there are no built in wireless cable modem and routers?  I am with NTL Broadband (now Virginmedia Broadband) and have a separate NTL modem connected to my cable line, which is then also connected to my Netgear router.

I am looking for an all in one router much like the Belkin ADSL modem and routers in one.

Any suggestions?

I think it unlikely that there will be much choice as for instance NTL/virgin etc. have their own standards whereas for everyone using ADSL the standards are rather more widespread.

There is for instance a device Linksysy market as WCG200 and I think it uses a cable standard ... but can't see if Virgin media ascribe to it.  Maybe need to ask Virgin helpdesk unless anyone here has already done what you want.

Yes there are a few option on the market.

You best bet is to call Virgin and ask them if you can even USE your own modem and if these are compatible.
