I have a master detail form with a master text field parent.apps which contains text seperated by semicolons: data1;data2;data3;data4

I'd like to create a combo box in the detail subform child.apps which allow selection of the same datastrings: data1;data2;data3;data4

Is this possible?

    For an unbound combobox.. try this..

       MySubForm!MyUnboundComboBox.Source = MyMasterForm!TextBox.Value

    Accepted Solution

    You can refer to the Parent of a Subform like this:

    So if you want your subform's Combo to show the same selections, do something like this:

    Me.YourCombo.RowSource = Me.parent.ParentComboBox.RowSource

    Or, from the Parent, in the Load or Open event:

    Me.YourSubformCONTROL.Form.SubFormComboBox.RowSource = Me.ParentComboBox.RowSource
