Windows privileges

Using 10g on Windows 2003 server.
Try to go into sqlplus as sysdba from command prompt.
I get insufficent privileges ora-01031
i try going into RMAN
connect target /
get the same insufficent privileges
Is there a file somewhere i need to change?

This is what you need to do:

1. Go to --> Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer Management
2. Expand --> "Local Users and Groups"
3. Open --> "Groups" folder
4. Add your username to the "Administrator" and "Ora_DBA" groups.

When done, try again, and you'll get this:
SQL> conn /as sysdba
Connected.
SQL> $rman

Recovery Manager: Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on Sun Jul 29 00:55:00 2007

RMAN> connect target /

connected to target database: DEV (DBID=3686985548)

Typo: Group name is "Administrators", not Administrator.
