Crystal Reports and Updating a database field.

I am using Crystal Reports XI, I want to query a database and at the same time update a field in that database when crystal reads the record, or have it prompt me to alter the records after the fact.  Basically I am getting all "Closed" sales tickets, and want to chnage them to "Billed" status when the crystal report runs.  Does anyone know how to do this, or if it can even be done?

I have accomplished similar tasks by calling a Stored Procedure.
You can either prompt the user or just do the update and then return the records.
Another option would be to use CUT Light from www.milletsoftware.com
This provides you the ability to execute SQL statements from a formula.

Be aware though, Crystal Reports requests a Read Only connection to the database and some databases may honor that request even applying it to Stored Procedures.  THis would prevent updating any record through Crystal Reports.
