Hosting web service DLL on IIS v6.0 on Windows 2003

I have a ISNAPI web service DLL built and tested using Delphi 2005, IIS v5.1 on Windows XP. I have to host that DLL on Windows 2003 and IIS v 6.0. Please let me know how to host it.

Hello,

copy it to the web site somewhere accessible something like http://www.mysite.com/path/myWebService.dll

then you will need to add it to "web service extensions" (start->run->"inetmgr"->OK)

right click the web extensions node, choose "add", enter the full path to the dll, and some descriptive text.  Make sue it is set to "allow" that extension, then access by the URL.

Cheers.

I don't want to host it to any web site such as mywebsite. I have a Windows 2003 server with IIS v6.0, I need a descriptive hosting process of my web service that is currently running on IIS v5.1 on Windows XP. Thanks!

Same thing - you need to copy the dll to your windows2003 server, then enable it as described.

replace http://www.mysite.com/path/myWebService.dll with http://<your windows 2003 web server adress>/path/myWebService.dll

Cheers.
