what kind of server component is this?

I am trying to learn all the components in our server room and came across this...can anyone help a newbie out and tell me what this is used for?  Thanks!

    It looks like a PABX to me. Very blurry though so it's hard to tell. I would pretty surely say it is telecoms equipment though - you can tell by the width.

    It looks like it's your PABX, certainly not a server. Turn it off and see if the phones stop working ;)
