SQL server 2005 report server error
Hello, We are trying to setup reports in MS SQL 2005 Reports Services on Windows 2003. Initially we got the following error when browsing to http://computername/reports
The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request.
We followed the following steps in the MS KB:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922656
In the config file we put http://FQDN/reports
I dcan browse to a test file that i put in the reports virtual directory however when i browse to http://fqdn/reports, i get this:
The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version.
I can view http://FQDN/reportserver with no problems.
Thank you,

Hi, Add the User role for browse report using report manager.
Its better to provide the domain user for authetication and that user you can use in .net to access the report.
if you have any ques let me knwo.

Thank you both but i am still having no luck.....the database and the report server piece both reside on the same machine....most of the settings are the default.....no named instance etc......
I ran rsconfig but i get the same error.
Shouldn't i at least be able to see the default reports page where you setup the data sources etc...when we first installed Reporting services we could view it.

Check connection information in RSReportServer.Config (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157273.aspx). Use rsconfig (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms162837.aspx) to store encripted connection information for report server.
