Mail not coming in through my Linksys firwall setup

Hey guys,

I implemented a service called contentcatcher which filters all my email prior to sending it to my server. ti works great and have used it in a previous company. I setup the system friday evening and it seems that as of this morning my mail is being held up. I called the company and it states that my mail resides in a queue and is not seeing my server. They asked me to reboot my firewall which is a linkysys BEFVP41 V2 router/firewall cheap setup. Once i rebooted it the mail came in after a couple of minutes and has stopped again. Do you have any suggestions what may be causing this problem or hanging my mail up?

If rebooting the firewall fixes the problem temporarily, then I would try resetting the firewall to factory settings and re configure it. If it doesn't fixes it, I would replace the firewall.

You can also try to bring the contentcather inside the network and see if it solves the problem.

This issue was the firewall was not able to hold up to the demand of the mail that was coming in. It was a linksys and thus I had to upgrade to a sonicwall enterprise which resolved the issue.
