Email to one domain stuck in que
We have 2 companies (in different locations), abc.com & xyz.com that had their mail hosted one server.
We got an exchange server & put abc.com on it & left xyz.com on old server & moved to other office.
When trying to send from abc to xyz, the mail gets stuck in the que.
I'm assuming this was DNS related, as when I pinged mail.xyz.com I would get a 172.32.1.x address (both company's dns servers replicated between them).
I finally added the public ip of mail.xyz.com to the hosts file on abc's exchange server & the correct address is shown when pinging.
The que they were in shows as "Messages with an unreachable destination"
Now, how can I get the stuck mail to go?
