Trouble with loading ipvs and ipvsadm to Debian.

I am making a server into a load balancer.  I have installed Debian on to a server.  I am trying to install ipvs and ipvsadmin -1.24.  But I have not had any luck on doing the install.  I am not as familiar with Linux as I am with Windows. (Please don't hate me for that.)  So needless to say I am having trouble doing the install.  I have been able to download the files that I need but I can not seem to install them.  I have looked around to find documentation on how I need to do the install but my lack of familiarity of Linux has been making this task a tough one.  Can anyone tell me where I can go to get the info I need to do the install or give me any information that would be helpful?

Thanks

KeremE,

Thanks for the response.

I went in to the root terminal and when I typed in

modprobe ip_vs  -- I recieved nothing back it just went back to the command line

ismod | grep "^ip_v"  -- I recieved         ip_vs                  72160  0

I am  not sure how to check the version of Debian that I have.

it seems that you have ip_vs already compiled in and ready as a module.
to display your distro version:
less /etc/debian_version
KeremE,

Thanks again.  I will work with this and if I have any more questions I will post a new thread.
