Is it possible to have a search/find textbox on the standard Excel toolbar somehow?
So there would be only one input field for all spreadsheets? (I have Excel 2000)

Thats not easy. The best I can tell you is to add a button (on the toolbar) that prompts a inputbox ou form and then perform the search.

This is easy to achieve but a textbox in the toolbar ... I never saw it?

Yes, and with sheet cells as input fields this is
actually the better solution for me.
Saves a lot of space on the toolbar like this too.
