Uninstall Symantec Norton Antivirus asks for password

I want to uninstall Symantec Norton Antivirus from my computer however I cannot because everytime I try it asks me for the uninstall password.

How can I get rid of it?

You can download a tool to uninstall it here:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

If you use that utility, no password should be required.

Or if you can't downlod that tool, do this:

1) Go to Start -> Run and type regedit
2) Search for "UseVPUninstallPassword"
3) Change the value from 1 to 0 for "UseVPUninstallPassword"
4) Close the registry and retry the uninstall.
