Outlook IMAP Hide Items Marked For Deletion

HI Guys,
I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007 and have recently added a couple of IMAP email accounts. However in outlook it appears that the default once an item is deleted is to show that item with a strikethrough line going through it (until it is purged from the IMAP folder).

However I want these items to be hidded so that if they are marked for deletion I will not see them any more.
Is there a way to do this. I am unable to find any info on Google.
Many thanks.

    Greetings nerdzoll !

A line through the email is the standard way IMAP emails are deleted.  The method allows the email to be undeleted.  If you want to permanently delete the email, go to Edit in the top menu and select Purge.

Hi - the way I handle that is to use the Unread Messages link in the IMAP email account.  That link will only show you the "unread" (or read and then marked as unread) messages.  You will not see items marked for deletion in that view.  Best of luck.

The method you chose will hide the emails with line through them, but it will hide other read messages without line through them. Is that what you want?

    Hi War1,
It is not an ideal solution but for the quick times I need to access outlook it suffices. I can look at the new ones and not worry about old ones (which actually speeds up my time anyhoo).
