Mail resides on home pc and not exchange server.

I have user working in Outlook 2003 over a VPN. When closing Outlook was asked to choose between client or server. User selected client and mail was transferred to the users home pc.
What needs to be corrected on home pc or in Exchange server to reverse this process?

Exchange 2007 on a MS 2003 sp server.

Actually that question doesn't get asked. You need to go and clarify.
You will get that question, using those words, when talking about Rules but not about where the email gets stored and absolutley certainly not when logging out.

The way around what you think is the problem (which may well not actually be the problem if the words you've quoted are anything to go by) is simple. Call the user up. Tell them to exit Outlook. Into Control Panel. Click "Mail." edit the profile. Go to the properties of the Exchange and change the delivery location from "Personal Folders" to "Mailbox - User Name".

That won't reverse the mail flow but it will ensure that all new mail stays in the inbox when it's delivered. It's up to you whether you allow the user to drag and drop email from the PST to the Exchange folders. It's your call on whether the user is sufficiently competent. Given what they told you the words were...........
