PowerPoint file won't open from autorecovery

How can I recover a document that will not open even though the PowerPoint lists it in the autorecovery section?

    Check in the autorecovery default folder:  C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Powerpoint\.  Hopefully there is a good save in there.
