I loaded SQL SErver 2005 and SP2 but I am not seeing how to get to the SSIS for DTS.  Am I over looking or do I need to add something else?

if you installed
SQL Server Management Studio
SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"

SQL Server Management Studio->file-> connect object explorer->from pop-up login form select "integration servces" from combobox services...

also you can see ssis pack by using
dtexecui.exe util
--during creation sqlagent job if in step properties select type ssis pack

Upon rereading your question I noticed an issue.  You mentioned "SSIS for DTS".  SSIS has the same purpose as DTS but it is completely different technology.  If you have older DTS packages you can either rewrite them as SSIS packages OR install the feature pack I gave you the link for and then run both DTS and SSIS packages.

one ,ore:
<how to get to the SSIS for DTS.  >
.. you'll need to install the SQL Server 2005 Feature Pack (specifically, the Package Designer for 2000) to modify the package after the upgrade.

I tried to go in this way>

SQL Server Management Studio->file-> connect object explorer->from pop-up login form select "integration servces" from combobox services...

but failed - do I need permissions?
