Disable Roaming on Windows 2003

I have a network of XP machines on a Windows 2003 server. All these users have roaming profiles and they obviously have local profiles stored on their machines. What we want to do now is remove roaming on the network. What is the best way of going about this? What we also want to do is not delete their local settings such as favorites, outlook settings etc.

What we do not want to do is go to every machine and delete the local profiles. Thank you. I hope my question is specific.

How many users are we talking about? You can remove a roaming profile by opening the user(s) in Active Directory Users and Computers and on the  to the profile tab delete the profile path. The next time the users logs on the local profile will be used

You might as well remove from the terminal services profile incase the users are using them.
Check if ADmodify  can be used to delete the profile
You can use tscmd command line tool  to change TS profile
