A friend have fixed a problem similar to your by downloading the trial of the McAfee personal firewall from <a href="http://www.download.com" rel="ugc">www.download.com</a>, then he uninstalled it and solved the problem.<br />

He was using Windows XP, but i think that this works on Vista too.

I have a clien that is running WIndows Vista. &nbsp;The Windows Firewall is Off. &nbsp;When I go to the Security Center, I see the Mcafee firewall still ON. &nbsp;I cannot find Mcafee anywhere under program files or Uninstall programs. &nbsp;I removed all references to Mcafee in Regedit. &nbsp;I think this is what preventing me from connecting to a VPN.<br />
