Exchange 5.5 and 2003 email routing
Hi,
We have a mixed enviroment with 5.5 and 2003 servers. We have 1 organisation and 2 sites. The servers are the following roles.
Ex5.5 mailbox
Ex5.5 Bridgehead
Ex2003 mailbox
Ex2003 Bridgehead
At the moment all internal email goes through the Ex2003 bridgehead but external email goes thorugh the Ex5.5 bridgehead even if I shut it down. Is it possibel to route SMTP email via the Ex2003 bridgeghead while keeping the Ex5.5 servers in place?

APologies I should have made my question more clear. The issue is with ougoing external email. Incoming email is fine. The Public MX records cater for the incoming email. Do you think that the the internal DNS records will rectify the issue?

if one MX record, is it pointing to the 5.5 server, if so change it to the 2003 one.
