Access 2003 table merge.  I have three tables in a database with a 1:1 relationship between them.  I would like to just merge the three tables into one.

What is the best way to do this?

You can make one 1 query a create table query that will create your table, and then you can have 2 queries, append queries, that will append the data to your table.  Assuming of course the column names are all the same.

You can use the wizard it will help you out.

Column names are only the same for the primary key.

The "create table query" you mention sounds promising.  I do not see a way to do that in access.  How is it done?

    Accepted Solution

Create a table with all the column names that you need, then you can create append queries to append the data to your new table.  Then you will be able to match the column names with your new table to your other 3 tables.
