Certain emails not getting through exchange 2003.

I have a client that has a hosted pop3/smtp account but pulls and pushes mail to/from exchange 2003.  One of the accounts is not receiving email from a certain outside email address and I am trying to find where the problem is.  The mail host swears they have no spam filters running and  the person sending the email is not getting anything bounced back.  Any thoughts?

How are you pulling the items down from the hosted POP3 account?
Any reason you aren't not using Exchange as it was designed - for direct SMTP delivery?
You need to look at the logging of whatever POP3 connector you are using. That is probably the cause of the problem. Most POP3 connectors are unreliable - Exchange wasn't designed to use one.

Hello Sembee,
I am using the pop3 connector to connect to the pop3 server.  This was set up before I got there and they don't really want to pay to change it.  I went in pop3 connection manager, troubleshooting tab and is says 29 message in failed mail folder.  Is there a way to view these?  I logged into the administrator account and there are only about 5 in there and non have to do with the issue I am having.  Am I missing a log file?  I also went into the application log but saw nothing in there.  Thanks for your help.

Can't really help with POP3 connector issues, as I only do one thing with the POP3 connector and that is remove it as soon as I can. Is the client happy with the 15 minute delay between message collection? Most of the time when I remove the POP3 connector I look like a hero.
The POP3 connector is not designed as a long term tool, it is designed to assist the transition from hosted email to SMTP delivery.
