Hello all, I am having issues with implementing a USB storage GPO. I followed the steps from      well the problem I have is that I can not get this to work with users; it only works when the machines are moved into the OU that has this GPO. Is their a way that we can create a group in that OU and add machines to the group?

    Accepted Solution

No, it only can apply to computers since it's a CLASS MACHINE (a.k.a Computer Configuration) setting.

Also - putting user groups into OUs has no effect GPOs that affect users apply to the users OU - not to the OUs that the group is in.
