IIS Redirector...

IIS6 , WIndows2003 R2 - IIS Redirection

Here is the situatuion:

I have which has 2 functions 1, as a landing page and 2 as a credit card submission site.  I want to allow any user to access (just like that) and then have the server automatically redirect the users session to

I want https redirection to happen automatically w/o any user interaction.

I have already tried a redirector, which simply refreshes the page everysecond, or another redirector that immediately redirects the page to a (i dont want that to be the site)

remember i want ALL OF to be redirected to

Pleaes Advise...

    In IIS 6, right-click the website for and select Properties
    Click on the Home Directory tab
    Select the "a redirection to a URL" radio button
    Type in
    check the "a permanent redirection to this resource" checkbox

    That should do it for you.

    Oh - you may also want to check the "The exact URL entered above" checkbox

    You know what  - I think I'm wrong in the above.  That works if you have two different sites completely, but yours is the same site.  So you'll need to create a custom error .asp file that does the redirect.  Here's a great, quick tutorial on just that:
