Ive just installed Redhat ES4 I386.  Can anyone tell me how to configure the Linux box to accept an Exceed connection?  When I try to use exceed, it appears to contact the Linux box, but hangs at a dark screen (without starting KDE or Gnome.)

Edit your /etc/gdm/gdm.conf and search for a section called "XDMCP". Scroll few lines below the section title and you would be able to find "Enable = no". Change it to "yes" or "on" (depends on the word you're changing) and run

You should be able to login using XDMCP (which is what you probably want) to the Linux server.

It ended up being under /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf...but that did it!
