CSVDataReader is used to read CSV Files, is there an equivalent class for Tab Delimited Files?

Use MS Text Driver. See examples at http://www.dotnet247.com/247reference/msgs/56/282856.aspx. Use OleDbDataReader instead of data adaptor from the example.

Apologies, I meant Jet, not Text

Looking at the documentation for CSVDataReader at http://www.csvreader.com/csv/docs/, it looks like you can specify the character that delimits each column in the constructor. If you pass this constructor the tab character, it should/might work. I've never heard of nor used the CSVDataReader before though so I'm not even sure if this is the same one you are referring to.

Example:
Dim csvRdr = New CSVDataReader(mystream, chr(9), myencoding)
