Logonserver point to wrong DC

We had 2 main dc at the hq and 5 difference dc at remote site.
When I ran "set" command on my windows xp pro and it shows me that my pc logonserver=remotesite dc.
How do I change my pc logonserver to DC at head quarter?

Set up Sites and Services and be sure and add your Network Object for the site in question to the correct Site.  This will tell AD where you want the users on that Network to go for authentication.

you need to setup sites and services in AD - then the local DCs will be favored for authentication

We already had site and services setup for each location.
let say head quarter called dc1 and dc2 ( site A)
remote site called dc5 (site B)
under site and services we had site for head quarter (site A)
remote site we had site for dc5 (site B)
but computer in head quarter is point to dc5 (site B)
how do i change this computer to point to dc1 or dc2 (site A)

thanks again

A wrong assignment of Subnets to Sites can lead to this problems, double check the subnet masks.
