disable recent documents

hello,
how can I disable the recent documents from showing up in

Start > Documents?

every time I open a picture or text document on windows xp I see it there!!

I dont want to keep this history as I have some important documents that I dont want my friends to see and I dont want to clear the history every single time I stop using the computer

start>run>regedit and expand,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies > Explorer

create a new REG_DWORD key named NoRecentDocsMenu and set the value to 1
apply and restart, it should remove Documents from the classic start menu.
