Can I get my phone to work?

I have a Cable Ineternet connection with Time Warner.  On the Cable Modem it has a phone connection for my phone line I'm getting with them also.  However, I don't have a connection to any of my other phones in the house.  I didn't know if I could have the phone connection that I get with my modem to plug into the phone jack in the wall.  And have that signal go to my other phones so they will work.  If it could how would I need to wire it.  If not, what could I do to get my other phones connected?
