New Blackberry installation - some permisison problem

We've got our first Blackberry and installed BES 4.1 on a server separate from our Exchange server but within the same domain and network.  Followed all the standard instructions and added a user.  Sent the user an activation code.

Every 12 minutes or so, the BES server shows a series of messages in the Application Event Log:

{myuser@wales.ac.uk} MAPIMailbox::DefineCustomProps - m_pRootFolder->GetIDsFromNames (0x80070005) failed
{myuser@wales.ac.uk} MAPIMailbox::Construct - DefineCustomProps (0x00000000) failed
User MyUser Smith not started
1 user(s) failed to initialize

We think its a permissions problem but believe we have set them correctly according to various sources.  We're not sure if the problem is with the user permissions ('Create named properties in the information store' is set) or with te BES admin.

Some advice on where to look would be very helpful.

Are you sure that the besadmin permissions are correct.

I would try to contact RIM support on this, since it will be a good experience to learn how the support system works.

Did you search the RIm Support site

I hope this helps !

We didn't come up with a solution for this - largely because our phone supplier O2 suggested we needed the more expensive service option which was too much for us.  We've ditched Blackberry use in favour of Windows Mobile
